Social Media Policy
This document sets out the guidelines governing the use of social media in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Purpose
Fonti Alta Valle Po S.p.A. uses social media for promotional purposes through its official pages on:
- INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK AND YOUTUBE
Any other accounts referring to Fonti Alta Valle Po S.p.A. are not managed by the Company.
Content
The official pages are used to inform users about the Company’s activities and to collect comments, requests, questions and suggestions.
Published content includes communications concerning the Company’s activities and services. The channels produce their own written content, photographs, videos and other multimedia materials. Such materials may be freely reproduced, provided that the original channel is always properly credited. Comments and posts made by users, who should always identify themselves using their first and last name, represent the opinions of the individual users and not those of the Company. The Company cannot therefore be held responsible for the accuracy or otherwise of content posted by third parties.
Fonti Alta Valle Po S.p.A. may occasionally share content and messages of public interest originating from third parties. In such cases, the Company only verifies the reliability of the source and does not certify or endorse the content itself. Any advertising displayed alongside content published on social networking pages is not under the control of Fonti Alta Valle Po S.p.A. and is managed independently by the relevant social media platforms.
Rules of Use
Fonti Alta Valle Po S.p.A. is committed to managing spaces for communication and dialogue on its profiles across the various social networks. Users who actively participate through forms of interaction such as comments and messages are required to comply with the rules set out below.
Users have the right to participate and freely express their opinions. Moderation by the Company is carried out after publication and is intended solely to address conduct that is contrary to the law or generally accepted standards of conduct.
Insults, offensive language, threats or conduct that infringes personal dignity, the rights of minorities and minors, the principles of freedom and equality or any other constitutionally recognised principles will not be tolerated. In particular, the following are prohibited:
- content that promotes, encourages or perpetuates discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, language, religion, political opinion, belief, age, marital status, nationality, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;
- sexual content or links to sexual content;
- the carrying out or encouragement of unlawful activities;
- content that infringes intellectual property rights, legal rights or the rights of third parties;
- comments or posts containing special-category or sensitive personal data in breach of personal data protection legislation.
The following types of comments and content are also discouraged and may be subject to moderation:
- comments that are unrelated to the specific topic being discussed or published (off-topic comments);
- offensive language or content;
- comments or posts intended to disrupt the discussion or insult those responsible for managing and moderating the social media channels;
- spam;
- repeated or duplicate submissions.
Where a user repeatedly breaches these conditions or the policies of the social media platforms used, the Company’s staff reserves the right to ban or block the user in order to prevent further interaction and to report the user to the platform administrators and, where appropriate, to the competent law enforcement authorities.
Privacy
The privacy policies of the social media platforms used govern the processing of users’ personal data by those platforms.
Special-category personal data pursuant to Article 9 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) posted in public comments or posts will be removed. Personal data shared by users through private messages sent directly to the channel administrators will be processed in accordance with applicable personal data protection legislation.
Users are invited to carefully consider whether it is appropriate to include personal data in their contributions, including email addresses or any other information that may directly or indirectly reveal their identity. This includes photographs or videos that make individuals or locations identifiable.
Particular care must be taken before including information that may directly or indirectly reveal the identity of third parties, such as other individuals associated with the author of a post. Users are advised that the data and contributions they publish may be visible and accessible to anyone visiting the website or social network and may also be indexed and retrieved through general-purpose search engines.
